Skyjacker Shocks

Skyjacker shocks are top-of-the-line where 4x4 truck shocks are concerned. These shocks have chromed piston rods, over-sized piston heads, red polyurethane bushings, and a twin tube construction for longer life. These shocks are made to last!

Shock absorbers have a very important role in a truck's suspension. People often think this role includes absorbing the bumps and jolts in the road (or the trail), but this is really the job of your truck's springs, not your shocks. Your shocks absorb and control the energy stored in your springs. In other words, your shocks control the rate at which the suspension springs of your truck compress and rebound. So to make that job doable for your springs, a sturdy and reliable set of shocks is a MUST HAVE on your 4x4...especially when the pavement ends!

That's where Skyjacker comes in. Skyjacker shocks are fabricated just for this kind of load and handling. Remember though, Skyjacker has two lines of truck shocks. The Hydro 7000 shocks are for the occasional off-roader or for someone who rarely handles heavy loads. For the more serious off-roader and hauler, the Nitro shocks are a must. We generally recommend Nitro shocks to everyone since those shocks will hold up to wear and tear for longer and with more stability.
